Teardown Multiplayer Modes — March 2026 Reference

Content subject to update as VOXEL DESTRUCT 2 develops.

Launch Snapshot — March 12, 2026

Tuxedo Labs shipped Teardown's largest free update on March 12, 2026 for PC via Steam. Up to twelve players can share fully destructible voxel maps with realistic physics — the benchmark whatever_dev() fans compare when judging VD2 social play.

Console versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S were planned for later in 2026 without announced crossplay. Tuxedo Labs also teased a dedicated multiplayer racing mode for later in the year.

Official Mode List

  • Co-op Campaign — Full single-player heist missions playable together; shared timers and objectives.
  • Campaign Sandbox — Free-roam each story map without mission pressure.
  • Deathmatch & Team Deathmatch — Combat-focused destruction arenas.
  • Capture the Flag — Objective mode using destructible cover.
  • General Sandbox — Open demolition with friends, no win condition.
  • Mod library — Hundreds of community modes (Battle Royale, Prop Hunt, Floor Is Lava) via expanded Teardown API.

Mod API and Creator Ecosystem

The multiplayer patch extended Teardown's modding API so creators ship cooperative and competitive rulesets, custom maps, and weapons through the in-game library. Pre-launch playtests already hosted community-made servers — a content velocity Roblox sandboxes rarely match without UGC tooling.

VD2 early access has no equivalent mod marketplace. whatever_dev() focuses on engine stability first; VDP remains the sibling with richer admin toys and mod documentation.

June 2026 — Relics of Barkuna & Season Pass End

On June 10, 2026 Teardown launched Relics of Barkuna — the fourth and final Season Pass DLC with three jungle maps, 240 relics, and five exploration tools. Coffee Stain retired the Season Pass and Ultimate Edition SKUs in favor of an Ultimate Bundle for à-la-carte buyers.

Relics emphasizes puzzle-exploration over multiplayer, but it completes Teardown's 2026 content arc while VD2 still sells paid early access engine previews.

September 2026 — Console Multiplayer & Mod Pack 6 Live

Teardown's console multiplayer update launched September 15, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S with full 12-player co-op support. The free update arrived alongside Mod Pack 6, which adds Prop Hunt, Battle Royale, zombie modes, and additional community-requested features to both PC and console.

The console release completes Teardown's multiplatform roadmap. Players on Sony and Microsoft platforms now have feature parity with PC, including access to the full mod library through the in-game Mod Pack 6 integration.
