Voxel Destruction 2 — Destruction Tools
Content subject to update as VOXEL DESTRUCT 2 develops.
Tool Philosophy in VD2
Unlike the expansive VDP arsenal, VD2 early access curates tools around the new engine — prioritizing voxel subtraction, collapse triggers, and physics chains over novelty spam. Expect the roster to grow as content milestones land on the roadmap.
Every tool interacts with greedy meshing and SDF collision data. Learn each instrument's effective radius and debris cost before attempting full-map demolition.
Categories of Tools
- Impact tools — Hammers and charges that transfer kinetic energy; best for localized breaches.
- Area tools — Explosives or fields that stress multiple voxels; high server load.
- Cutting tools — Linear or planar subtraction; ideal for precision weak-point work.
- Environmental triggers — Gravity assists, structural pulls, or chain-collapse setups.
Weak-Point Workflow
Scan for load-bearing columns, floor joints, and roof ties. Remove supports at one elevation first, then let structural collapse finish the job. Random spraying wastes debris budget and tanks FPS.

Combo Tips
Open a face with a small impact tool, widen with an area effect, then sweep debris with gravity-friendly angles. Pause between waves so the subdivision queue clears — especially on mobile or console.

Early Access Caveat
Tool stats (range, cooldown, debris multiplier) may shift without notice. After each session, skim the changelog category for “Tools” adjustments.
